Well you should tweek it .

If you take a look at comments.php on line 48 you’ll see that in href tag is tutoriali/multiLevelComments/post.php?id= and you should change that to your actual URL . Posting new comment works fine because we use in jQuery post.php as destination.

I did not get neither the output you sent to me on Firebug nor a message from ‘error_reporting(0);’ command.
I used your source code without touching that and would like to see the output same as your demo but the error is appeared after clicking on the reply hyperlink. Please advise me.

Hmm, not sure. Did you check output in firebug. If request was success you should get something like this. If it was not and you got some errors in PHP you should get info about that error (and remove error_reporintg(0);)

I appreciate for your reply.
Based on what you said, I have installed Firebug and put ‘error_reporting(0)’ on top of the db.php file, but it only shows “There was an error.” message.
The thing is that adding comments works fine, but only the reply has an issue.

There are 2 main reasons.

Request was not successfully sent
Data retrieved from server could not be translated to json

So my guess is that your PHP code has some errors and they are echoed and returned to JavaScript (with or without JSON part) and jQuery can not translate that response to JSON format. I suggest that you install Firebug and then see what you get as response or try adding error_reporting(0); on top of db.php file and see of you get some other part of code executed.

Hi Marijan,

Thanks a lot for the sample and the demo. I have downloaded the source code from your website but after I run that on my machine, I found that the reply does not work. Whenever I click on “reply” I get the following message:

“There was an error.”

This error comes from the following code:
